Job Summary
Laborer for a Decatur, AL project assisting skilled construction workers with a range of duties. Tasks include digging, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel, lifting and carrying materials, cleaning tools and work areas, mixing or pouring concrete/asphalt/gravel, joining and sealing pipe sections, removing forms, placing culvert sections, and rotating tasks as the project progresses. Requires following procedures, adherence to client safety requirements, usage of PPE, and ability to perform a variety of non-machine tasks; reports to the Foreman. Compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience; benefits include health/dental/vision/life/disability, 401k, PTO, holidays, telehealth, and employee assistance. Physical demands include climbing ladders/scaffolds, lifting 30-50 pounds, standing/walking, bending, kneeling, and work in extreme conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- Ability to follow instructions without being distracted
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
