Job Summary
Adhere to company safety procedures and policies while performing construction laboring activities such as pumping blast holes dry, loading and unloading explosives, and carrying buckets of stemming stone. Maintain a clean and organized job site and submit accurate, signed time cards weekly to the Blaster or Foreman. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, taking direction to perform essential functions including lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and stooping or bending frequently. Attend daily heads-up safety meetings, monthly foreman meetings, and periodic safety sessions as needed. This role requires a valid driver's license, own transportation for out-of-town travel, and the ability to work unsupervised occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation (out of town/state travel required)
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators
- Individuals must be safety-minded
- Ability to work well outdoors in varying weather environments
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
