Job Summary
Adhere to company safety procedures and policies while maintaining a clean, organized job site. Perform construction laboring activities including pumping blast holes dry with a water pump, loading and unloading explosives from trucks, and carrying buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes. Submit accurate and signed time cards weekly to the Blaster or Foreman. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, occasionally unsupervised, and attend daily heads-up safety meetings, monthly foreman meetings, and periodic safety sessions. Travel out of town or state may be required, with overtime potentially needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation (out of town/state travel required)
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators
- Individuals must be safety-minded
- Ability to work well outdoors in varying weather environments
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
