Job Summary
Adhere to company safety procedures and policies while performing construction laboring activities such as pumping blast holes dry, loading and unloading explosives, and carrying stemming stone. Maintain a clean and organized job site, submit accurate and signed time cards weekly, and attend daily heads-up safety meetings, Foreman meetings, and periodic safety briefings. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, occasionally working unsupervised, with the ability to take direction and learn safety aspects of working around explosives. Out of town and state travel is required, with overtime possible. Must possess a valid driver's license, own transportation, and successfully pass ATF screenings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation (out of town/state travel required)
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings
- Must be able to perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators
- Individuals must be safety-minded
- Ability to work well outdoors in varying weather environments
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position
- Ability to perform proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time
- Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time
- Ability to take direction and perform construction laboring activities
- Ability to work unsupervised occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred
