Job Summary
Laborer (Construction) at Maine Drilling & Blasting to learn and perform construction laboring duties on sites along the East Coast. Responsibilities include adhering to safety procedures, submitting time records to Foreman, learning safety aspects around explosives, following directions for labor tasks, occasionally working unsupervised, pumping blast holes with a water pump, loading explosives, carrying stemming stone to blast holes, keeping the job site organized, and participating in safety meetings. Requires ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, lift 50 lbs frequently, and work outdoors in varying weather; must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and ATF background check; valid driver’s license with good driving record and own transportation; willing to travel as needed.
