Job Summary
Laborer-Construction responsible for performing on-site construction labor tasks under supervision, learning safety procedures, and assisting with explosives handling as part of MD&B's drilling/blasting operations. Responsibilities include following safety policies, submitting time records weekly, learning safety aspects of working around explosives, taking direction, performing labor activities, occasional unsupervised work, pumping blast holes with water, loading/unloading explosives, carrying stemming stone, maintaining a clean/organized job site, and participating in safety meetings. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour with a weekly travel allowance, with pay increase incentives through training and performance. Located in Raleigh, NC with travel across the East Coast as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen.
- Must successfully pass criminal background check for ATF
- Experience with construction laborer helpful, but not necessary
- Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks
