Job Summary
Safely strip forms with an overhead crane, clean forms with hand tools, and read shop drawings to prepare and install rebar. Pour and finish concrete according to quality control standards, ensuring tools and work areas remain clear of hazards. Communicate with Quality Control for pre-pour and post-pour checks, stopping work immediately if unsafe conditions exist. Perform material movement and finish products attractively free of cracks. Work indoors and outdoors Monday through Friday, lifting 35-50 lbs for sustained periods, with some Saturdays and overtime required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 35-50 lbs
- Must have manual dexterity and the ability to work in an industrial plant environment
- Must be physically capable of heavy concrete construction for a sustained period of 8-10 hours per day
- Must be willing to work indoor and outdoor, Monday through Friday, with some overtime work required including some Saturdays
- Must be willing to wear a hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, and safety glasses while working in our plant and/or in the yard
Desired Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, construction, concrete, or industrial plant experience
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and Quality Control
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings or willingness to learn
