Job Summary
The Laborer (Civil) is responsible for working well with supervision, providing tools and materials for their crew, performing fire-watch, bottle-watch, or hole-watch duties, and operating limited types of equipment. This position requires a thorough knowledge of craft roles and responsibilities, identifying safety hazards, and taking corrective actions. Physical demands include standing or walking for long periods, lifting and carrying materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds, and performing various physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, and crawling.
Required Qualifications
- Over three (3) years of maintenance/turnaround/construction/or mechanical experience
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Must be able to pass Craft Helper proficiency testing at or above 70%
- Must pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen
- Subject to random drug & alcohol testing during employment
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
