Job Summary
Inspect materials and sort items into bins based on type, size, condition, or coloring. Operate safety equipment and machinery used in the production process, including loading and unloading items from conveyors. Separate metal particles from waste and move reusable materials to the production department or storage. Clean by sweeping and shoveling residual waste from the process and remove waste materials from conveyor belts. Other duties may be assigned. Shift is 3rd shift, 12am to 8:30am, full-time in Jersey City, NJ. Pay rate is $23.53. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, 401k matching, and paid parental leave.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
- frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred
