Job Summary
Expediting building materials, performing daily and task-based jobsite cleanup, and assisting with wall framing and wall systems construction on Federal construction projects. Operate forklifts and manlifts, conduct light demolition, and handle drywall patching and painting as needed. Lift and move building materials up to 50 pounds while maintaining situational awareness in environments with temperature extremes. Maintain a clean driving history with a valid license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in commercial or government construction sites
- Aid/CPR (or ability to complete the course within 14 days of hire)
- OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment)
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving history
- Operation of forklift and manlifts
- Light demolition
- Drywall patching and painting experience
- Ability to work safely on Federal construction projects
- Lifting and moving of building material
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Physically capable of operating light construction equipment
- Ability to maintain a constant state of mental alertness
- Ability to maintain a constant state of situational awareness
- Ability to bend, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to adjust work time to accommodate project demands
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance levels
- Ability to obtain access to military installations
- Acceptable background check results
