Job Summary
Plant General Laborer to support daily production and facility upkeep at the Iron Station, NC plant. Responsibilities include assisting production areas with clean up, checking systems, general maintenance tasks, moving items like bearings, cones, and polytape, checking hoppers, chip systems, and conveyors, raking excess chips from conveyors, cleaning screens, tanks, and filters, collecting paper, bottles, and cans from office areas, and safely operating a Cushman cart to transport materials and equipment. The role requires ability to work in hot/cold environments, perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds), and adapt to varied environments and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid ID or driver’s license
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Meet physical demands as listed above
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, dusty, and physically demanding environments
- Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
