Job Summary
Laborer duties include mud picking from rock/material, shoveling and maintaining plant housekeeping, operating mobile equipment, and performing routine maintenance on machinery. The role is 100% outdoor, requires standing for long periods, and involves heavy lifting and working in all weather. Requires ability to read and follow instructions, work with little supervision, contribute to daily reports, and maintain safety standards with PPE. Benefits begin on the first day, and the position supports shift flexibility including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to learn methods used in aggregate pits
- Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions
- No special license required
- Knowledge of MSHA rules and regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
- Ability to work 6 days a week
- Bi-lingual a plus
- No previous experience required but experience in aggregate/construction is a plus
- Basic reading, writing, math skills
- Collaborative, team-based mindset
