Job Summary
Execute a broad range of device evaluations, including characteristic testing, performance assessments, packaging integrity testing, and environmental conditioning studies. Perform blood-based testing using bovine blood to model clinically relevant conditions and maintain accurate, complete, and legible documentation of all activities within the Quality Management System. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and operational checks on laboratory equipment and analytical instruments while recording, analyzing, and interpreting test data using relevant software and statistical tools. Prepare data summaries and reports to support Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams, and develop and validate laboratory test methods aligned with medical standards and device requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Biology or related scientific field
- 3+ years of laboratory experience
- Hands-on laboratory experience, especially in medical device, biomedical, or GLP environments
- Familiarity with blood handling and laboratory testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulated processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Proficiency with laboratory software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Scientific and technical writing skills with the ability to develop high-quality reports, procedures, specifications, and presentations
- Ability to perform light physical work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to handle equipment and materials safely and effectively
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment while complying with all safety requirements
