Job Summary
Perform tissue grossing, processing, embedding, microtomy, staining (H&E & special staining), quality control, and general histology duties while maintaining a safe working environment by following all safety and chemical regulations outlined in StageBio's SOPs. Record data promptly and accurately, ensuring daily cleaning of work areas and equipment. Maintain detail-oriented accuracy with routine lab tasks and paperwork while understanding FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, and StageBio's SOPs. Work independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment, learning multiple histology tasks to support our global GLP-compliant clinical research and preclinical necropsy services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histology
- Ability and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to understand FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices and StageBio's SOPs
- Detail orientation with both routine lab tasks and paperwork
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- 3 years' experience in histology / pathology lab
- Experience with microtomy
