Job Summary
Conduct laboratory analysis and reporting for Oil Condition Monitoring, testing in-service lubricants, coolants, fuels, and grease. Prepare chemical solutions per standard formulas and complete all applicable laboratory reports. Maintain current knowledge of analysis methods and safety techniques while assisting with equipment maintenance and calibration. Adhere strictly to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Work in a routine, repetitive, fast-paced environment standing for long periods and handling chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products. Perform duties as assigned with attention to detail and timely completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good organization skills
- Detailed oriented
- Able to work in a routine repetitive fast paced work environment
- Able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions as may be furnished in oral, written, diagram, electronic or schedule form
- Acts accordingly to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
- Must be able to work with all chemicals, petrochemicals and petroleum products
- Occasionally 25 lbs (Lift/carry/push or pull)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a science discipline
- 1-year experience working in a Laboratory Technician setting
