Job Summary
Laboratory Technician sought to perform entry-level lab duties in an accredited commercial laboratory. Responsibilities include preparing media and samples for analysis, setting up and operating basic lab instrumentation, routine maintenance, accurate data recording and logging, and supporting lab staff to ensure timely reporting of results. Work Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm in Dayville, CT. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and ability to handle small vials and delicate equipment; capable of applying basic algebra for calculations and following established SOPs. Familiarity with data entry into LIMS and adherence to safety, quality, and personnel programs is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work with small vials, test tubes and delicate laboratory equipment
- Ability to apply basic algebraic concepts to perform basic laboratory calculations and accurately measure substances, liquids and/or solutions
- Ability to read and apply established protocols and SOPs
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
