Job Summary
Laboratory Technician position performing analytical testing per SOPs, calibrating and maintaining lab equipment, operating LIMS, entering and reviewing data, and contributing to safety and QA processes. Responsibilities include conducting routine and non-routine testing on samples, documenting results, maintaining chain-of-custody, communicating with internal customers, and supporting lab audits. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with chemistry coursework and at least two years of laboratory experience; familiarity with ASTM methods, lab safety, and rotating 12-hour shifts (nights/weekends/holidays) is preferred. Location-specific duties include working in Wilmington and Carson, CA as part of Marathon Petroleum’s refinery laboratory operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 16 hours of college-level chemistry required
- Two (2) years or more of experience required
- Chemistry Degree preferred
