Job Summary
Prepare laboratory media and reagents following established protocols while washing, drying, and organizing glassware and reusable equipment. Operate autoclaves to sterilize materials, maintain cleanliness across shared workspaces, and ensure consumables are stocked. Perform routine maintenance on equipment like dishwashers and water purification systems, report issues promptly, and coordinate service requests. Manage inventory by receiving deliveries, distributing materials, tracking supplies, and coordinating outgoing shipments. Follow all safety procedures, handle waste properly, maintain accurate records, and support research teams with set-up and general laboratory organization.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–2 years of laboratory support experience in an academic, biotech, or industrial laboratory
- Experience operating autoclaves and preparing laboratory media or solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable lifting laboratory supplies (up to approximately 40 lbs.) and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and execution oriented
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Collaborative and willing to support multiple scientific teams
- Proactive in identifying laboratory needs before they become issues

Desired Qualifications
