Laboratory Technician I - QC (Environmental Monitoring & Microbiology)

Job Summary
Perform routine environmental monitoring activities in classified manufacturing areas, including air, surface, and personnel sampling. Conduct microbiological testing such as bioburden, endotoxin, and plate reading, then review results to identify atypical findings and support investigations. Ensure accurate and timely completion of GMP documentation and laboratory records while supporting equipment readiness and calibration activities. Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing teams to maintain compliance and operational excellence. This full-time permanent role offers a 5-day work week with sporadic weekend work fully compensated by time off and financial benefits.
Required Qualifications
- An apprenticeship (EFZ) as a Laboratory Technician in Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology
- A Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a relevant scientific discipline
- Two years of professional experience in a GMP environment
- Familiarity with sample collection within controlled environments
- Experience in consumables and laboratory material management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively across teams
- Fluent in English
