Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
Perform laboratory patient testing and accurately report results per procedures; identify and label specimens; collect and process patient specimens with proper identifiers; prepare and package specimens for send-out testing to reference labs; maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards; calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; manage laboratory supply inventory and restock as needed; support a patient-centered environment with clear communication; ensure documentation is inspection-ready and compliant; contribute to fast-paced ER laboratory operations with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent
- LMT/MLT certification strongly preferred
- ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year hospital laboratory experience preferred
- Experience in ER/hospital/high-acuity setting preferred
- Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control standards, regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Current driver’s license with no restrictions
- Flexibility to meet scheduling needs
