Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
Laboratory Technician conducts chemical, physical, and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished samples using FDA and approved procedures to ensure they meet approved specifications. Responsibilities include collecting samples for quality testing, properly storing them, documenting analyses on proper forms and entering information into the quality database, ensuring quality records are complete and legible, being trained in CCP/PC evaluation with the ability to take immediate action, preparing ingredient blends when required, performing basic calibration/validation of laboratory equipment, promoting quality assurance within the workforce, and assisting production staff by printing recipe sheets. The role supports SQF projects and corrective actions, enforces health and hygiene rules (GMPs, SQF), and collaborates with the QA Supervisor/Manager on special quality projects. Emphasis on teamwork, safety, adherence to company policies, and commitment to accurate, timely work in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical skills, statistical and mathematical abilities
- Interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in X3, Google Docs, and MS Office Products
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with basic laboratory instrumentation and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to accurately collect, record, and report data both written and electronically
