Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
Prepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for Chemistry and Biology practical lessons while ensuring all safety standards and protocols are consistently followed. Support teachers and students during laboratory sessions, manage inventory including chemical storage, and carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment. Provide administrative assistance to academic departments by supporting scheduling, documentation, record-keeping, and communication between staff. Handle general administrative duties such as correspondence and filing, and assist with school events and activities as required. Work 8:30am to 17:00pm in a supportive school environment offering opportunities for professional development and on-the-job training.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and proper equipment handling
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Responsible, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to work
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a primary and/or secondary school environment preferred
