Job Summary

Prepare water samples for analysis through filtration and direct plate techniques, including routine pipetting, filtration, and sample labeling. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing calibrations and cleanliness checks while using the management system to record traceability data. Monitor lab supplies, restock inventory, and manage waste streams to reduce carbon footprint. Support daily quality tasks such as calibration checks, process controls, and internal/external quality checks. Collaborate with team members to meet testing timelines and drive continuous improvement through 5S and lean production principles. Adapt an aseptic approach to maintain high hygiene standards and take responsibility for training records to ensure competency.

Required Qualifications

  • Full time role working 37.5 hours per week - Tuesday to Saturday 07:00 till 15:00
  • Computer literate
  • Enthusiastic and able to work efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment and working under pressure to meet demand

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory experience desirable but not required as full training provided
