Job Summary
Laboratory Technician responsible for providing testing and technical support for projects across the North Island, ensuring the integrity of construction materials by testing asphalt, aggregates, and soils to meet quality, industry standards, and customer specifications. Roles include laboratory and field testing with a rotational night shift and weekend roster; requires a NZ Class 1 driver’s licence, ability to work nights/weekends, strong attention to detail, and solid MS Excel/Word skills; team-oriented with potential leadership responsibilities; pre-employment drug test, medical, and Ministry of Justice check mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Full NZ Class 1 driver’s licence
- Testing experience in civil engineering preferred but not essential
- Physically able to lift 20kgs
- Strong MS Excel & Word skills
- Ability to work in a team with some leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work at night and weekends
