Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is a critical member of the Quality Control team responsible for end-to-end analytical testing of raw materials and finished packaging components in an ISO 7 cleanroom, ensuring safety, efficacy, and compliance. Responsibilities include microbiological and particulate monitoring of water systems and cleanroom environments, chemical/physical testing (e.g., FTIR, moisture analysis, volatile sulfides), specialized tests (coring/fragmentation, penetration force, seal integrity), bioburden and endotoxin testing (LAL), and adherence to GMP records. Uses SAP/LIMS for batch release and data entry, applies statistics (e.g., Minitab) for RCA and OOS investigations, and participates in IQ/OQ/PQ of new instrumentation; performs routine calibration and troubleshooting of analytical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Chemistry highly preferred
- 1–3 years experience in a regulated laboratory environment (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device)
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
- Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical software
- Hands-on experience with cleanroom gowning and aseptic techniques
- Strong team orientation and ownership over quality outcomes
