Job Summary
Conduct routine and special chemical and physical tests using various laboratory apparatus, equipment, and instruments. Prepare and standardize chemical reagents, calibrate measuring instruments, and lift containers of chemicals, samples, and delicate instruments. Report results verbally, in writing, and by computer while maintaining the highest ethical standards and adhering to all safety rules and procedures. Clean laboratory apparatus and general areas to ensure an orderly environment. Work safely in a systematic manner, reporting findings accurately and promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Pass a basic chemistry and math test
- College chemistry
- Proficient computer skills of Microsoft Office (Especially Excel) and database systems
- Ability to communicate in written and oral English language
- Must be dependable, flexible, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of college chemistry is desired
