Laboratory Technician

Job Summary
Perform and monitor high-complexity laboratory testing under CLIA guidelines while maintaining instruments and adhering to quality control protocols. Ensure timely processing of patient tests, report results following supervisor verification, and identify issues impacting test performance. Maintain accurate records for maintenance, quality control, and workload while communicating deviations to supervisors. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm with weekend and holiday rotation, and Saturday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Aculabs, a family-owned leader in Mid-Atlantic long-term care diagnostics, seeks certified MLT or MT professionals to deliver high-quality testing services.
Required Qualifications
- MLT or MT certification
- Bachelor's in Microbiology/Biology
- MD, DO, DPM with current license in the State of the laboratory's location
- PhD in Clinical Laboratory Science or another medically similar science field
- MS in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science
- BS in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science
- AS in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Monday to Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
- Saturday to Sunday 11:00 am - 7:30 pm
- Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Microbiology/Biology is a plus
