Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician supports the daily operation of the lab and plant operations to ensure product quality and safety. Key responsibilities include sample preparation, performing quality tests on oils, documenting results, entering Certificates of Analysis (COAs) into the system, and training new employees. The role involves collaboration with plant staff, conducting food safety inspections, and participating in audits. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field and 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field
- 1-3 years laboratory experience, preferably in a food, drug or chemical analytical laboratory
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to calibrate instruments
- Math and computation ability
