Job Summary
Laboratory Technician A at AGAT Laboratories with a focus on operating GC instruments (GC-FID, GC-TCD, GC-SCD), performing sample prep, calibration, and data management to ensure QA/QC standards and timely reporting. Responsibilities include instrument calibration/maintenance, troubleshooting, data verification, and documentation in accordance with SOPs, plus basic analysis and reporting of results. Requires post-secondary education in a chemical field or equivalent lab experience, strong English communication, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Location: Calgary, AB, Canada; occasional evenings/weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience in GC & general lab skills is essential
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
