Job Summary
Operate as a department resource managing workflow oversight, complex problem-solving, and operational leadership for the coagulation section. Execute MLT/MLS duties with high competency while ensuring compliance with CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, and OSHA standards. Review records to verify quality control and assurance procedures, maintain instrumentation maintenance logs, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. Monitor inventory, assist in cost analysis models, and provide onsite supervision including scheduling and disciplinary input when the supervisor is absent. Participate in staff selection, training, and competency assessments while serving as a liaison for system-wide issues.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science or clinical laboratory science
- four (4) years of laboratory training or experience, or both in nonwaived testing, in the designated specialty/sub-specialty area
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science
- two (2) years of laboratory training or experience, or both in nonwaived testing, in the designated specialty/sub-specialty area
- detailed credential evaluation from IERF (International Education Research Foundation) or other nationally recognized credentialing agency
- Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science
- certification (MLS or categorical)
- two (2) years' experience in nonwaived testing in the designated specialty/sub-specialty area
- detailed credential evaluation from IERF (International Education Research Foundation) or other nationally recognized credentialing agency
- bachelor's degree with four (4) years of experience in that discipline
