Job Summary
Conduct independent sample analysis of organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing, including preparation, extraction, and digestion following official methods and SOPs. Serve as a technical resource for Chemists while leading the team in analytical techniques and data analysis. Supervise receiving specialists for sample login and transport, monitor staff performance, and provide coaching and discipline as needed. Communicate promptly with clients regarding issues, delays, or technical solutions, and assume responsibility for authenticating Certificates of Analysis. Take an active role in local marketing efforts and make recommendations to the Regional Laboratory manager on upgrades.
Required Qualifications
- Must have LNG experience
- 7+ years of experience in a regulated commercial lab environment
- 2+ years of protocol and report writing experience
- Advanced knowledge of routine & non-routine testing methods
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and similar disciplines
- 3+ years of experience in the laboratory
