Job Summary
Manage, supervise, and coordinate daily operations across pre-analytic and post-analytic laboratory services, specimen management, patient registration, test ordering, and phlebotomy services. Oversee the Wilson and BGH phlebotomy teams, ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and customer-focused operations. Lead staff, manage workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide training and quality assurance. Resolve issues involving workload distribution, equipment, personnel, patient complaints, and provider service needs. Float across multiple UHS facilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years' healthcare experience
- 3-5 years of direct phlebotomy experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a clinical laboratory or phlebotomy setting
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, CDM, medical necessity, value-based care
- NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician license
- ASCP MLT certification
- Certified Phlebotomist
- Must be able to float across multiple UHS facilities
- Must be available for Day Rotational shifts
- Must work 40 Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
