Job Summary
Laboratory Supervisor (Float) oversees multi-center lab operations, supervises full- and part-time staff, ensures test accuracy and adherence to performance specifications, reports system deviations, and coordinates staffing, payroll approvals, and in-service training. Responsibilities include monitoring analyses, ensuring timely proficiency testing, handling physician requests with responsiveness, interviewing and training personnel, maintaining quality records, and supporting inventory, safety, and equipment maintenance across multiple Patient First centers in PA. Sign-on bonus mentioned; willing to work at any center due to staffing needs; experience in medical technology and laboratory supervision preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate (or equivalent) with additional preferred qualifications including Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or chemical/physical/biological science or HEW certification as Medical Technologist for incumbents located in PA/NJ; minimum one year supervisory experience preferred; ability to manage staff, payroll, and training; CPR certification; ability to lift 20-50 lbs; strong communication and data analysis skills; willingness to work at multiple centers as needed.
