Laboratory Supervisor for Esoteric Microbiology leading daily operations in a high-volume lab. Responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring staff; ensuring accurate test performance and timely reporting; monitoring workflow and staffing across shifts; addressing production errors and driving continuous process and service improvements. Maintains QA records, adheres to CLIA/CAP/state regulations, evaluates new processes, and coaches direct reports. Performs bench work as needed and maintains proficiency in technical operations; handles payroll and personnel files; ensures equipment maintenance and compliance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology and 6+ years of clinical lab testing experience; ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
