Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking, routing, identifying, labeling, and packing them for shipment to testing facilities. Accurately enter patient data and store excess samples while resolving and documenting problem specimens. Meet department activity and production goals. Handle biological specimens and lift up to 40lbs. Work Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm, rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience
- Previous medical or production experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
