Job Summary
Open and verify check shipper sample types, complete specimen receipt logs, and forward problem samples to exception handling. Identify issues regarding ordering, labeling, and specimens, then aliquot samples and ship them to other referral labs. Perform all required data entry tasks while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This role supports Sonic Healthcare USA's mission to advance community health through detailed laboratory specimen processing.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification
- High School Diploma
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Typing proficiency, including 10-key
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in a biological science or certification in a medical program technologist program
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Data entry experience in a laboratory production environment
