Job Summary
Lead daily operations of the Hickman Testing Laboratory by supervising personnel, coordinating resources, and ensuring testing meets applicable standards and customer requirements. Prioritize workload to support production demands while monitoring activities for compliance with quality, safety, and operational procedures. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, lead staff development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key process indicators like productivity and utilization to optimize plant performance and implement corrective actions for incidents or observations. Manage facility resources and ensure adherence to Tenaris policies, energy consumption targets, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Three (3) or more years of experience in a materials testing laboratory
- Experience managing external suppliers, service providers, and procurement processes, including purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs)
- Familiarity with API, ASTM, ISO, NACE, and CSA standards
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer systems in a networked environment
- Strong leadership, team management, and resource allocation skills
- Ability to coach, develop, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
