Job Summary
Coordinate preventive maintenance for lab equipment and maintain PM tracking; provide basic training on common lab equipment; oversee Help Desk triage and escalate issues; assist procurement (quotes, purchase orders, vendor follow-up); manage hazardous materials handling and cold storage monitoring; help maintain clean, organized shared lab spaces; assist with shipping/receiving and onboarding/offboarding; support EHS compliance and Safety Committee actions; work with licensees and vendors to ensure policy adherence; use SAP/Avantor IMS/ChemSW for inventory; contribute to lab area maintenance and equipment documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate Degree in Laboratory Technology, Facilities Management, Environmental Health & Safety, Supply Chain, or Logistics
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in laboratory operations or facilities support, inventory or supply chain management
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., biotech, pharma, academic research labs)
- Familiarity with lab equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance scheduling
- Hands-on experience with hazardous materials handling and cold storage systems
- Use of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Avantor IMS, ChemSW)
- Ability to provide basic training on common lab equipment and develop work instructions from manufacturer documentation
- Experience coordinating preventive maintenance for lab equipment and maintaining PM tracking systems
- Ability to manage Help Desk tickets, triage issues, and assist with procurement processes
- Knowledge of safety policies and EHS compliance, and experience supporting onboarding/offboarding processes
