Job Summary
Receive and pipette urine specimens per standard operating procedures, prepare excess samples for storage, and dispose of materials after analysis. Enter sample data into the software database and deliver supplies to Averhealth sites as needed. Maintain cleanliness of accessioning work areas while managing time effectively in a high-volume setting. Requires a BS or Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Forensic Science with one year of lab experience.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science OR Associates Degree REQUIRED
- 1 year of experience in a Lab environment, preferred
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to use computer, monitor, cell phone, mouse and keyboard extensively
- Ability to read, write, listen and speak clearly
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions
- Ability to drive a vehicle and travel
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be able to pass a color blind test, accommodations made if not
