Required Qualifications
- Fully certified in patient registration and phlebotomy
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program
- 5-10 years phlebotomy experience
- 2-3 years medical office experience
- PC proficiency
- Strong customer service skills
- Accurate data entry
- Knowledge of payer requirements for referrals and pre-authorization
- Knowledge of computerized billing system
- Demonstrates working knowledge of revenue cycle as it relates to patient encounters and payment processes
- Ability to identify and verify patient information and ensure proper specimen labeling
- Understanding of payer contracts, policies and best practices
- Ability to manage provider schedules and appointments
