Job Summary
Oversee daily clinical laboratory operations for a newly launched Virginia regional laboratory, ensuring compliance with CLIA/COLA, CAP, OSHA, HIPAA, CMS and Virginia regulatory requirements. Lead laboratory personnel, maintain quality assurance programs, review policies and validation studies, monitor performance metrics and turnaround times, and collaborate with Maryland and Virginia leadership to drive operational growth. Support implementation of new testing platforms and instrumentation, maintain relationships with physicians and healthcare partners, and lead safety and infection control efforts in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Laboratory Director qualifications meeting CLIA/COLA requirements
- Experience managing high-volume clinical laboratory operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of Long-Term Care laboratory workflows and compliance requirements
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and locations
