Job Summary
Provide operational leadership for clinical laboratory services under the CLIA Laboratory Director, overseeing hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, and phlebotomy. Perform CLIA Technical Consultant functions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining policies and monitoring testing accuracy. Hire, train, and supervise laboratory personnel while managing scheduling, performance, and continuing education programs. Support laboratory methods evaluation, workflow efficiency, and budget management, including inventory oversight and revenue cycle processes. Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and coordinate incident reviews. Maintain technical proficiency in laboratory testing as needed to ensure continuity of patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years laboratory training or experience in non-waived testing
- 2 years of supervisory laboratory experience in non-waived testing
- Minimum of bachelor's in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
- Must have and maintain current BLS certification
