Job Summary
Laboratory Manager to oversee geotechnical/materials testing operations in Bowmanville, Ontario. Lead and mentor Laboratory Technicians; coordinate day-to-day lab activities; ensure calibration records and CCIL-related requirements are maintained; perform and supervise testing of aggregates, soil, and concrete; generate data reports and summaries; uphold Health, Safety and Environmental policies; manage projects with deadlines and collaborate across civil/geotechnical/environmental engineering tasks. Proficiency in lab procedures, data recording, and reporting, plus strong organizational and leadership abilities, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Technologist or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with leadership/management of geotechnical and construction materials testing projects
- Experience with laboratory test procedures for soil, concrete and aggregate is required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong multi-tasking, organization and planning skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for data entry
- Ability to lift 30-50lbs daily
