Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs routine to moderately difficult laboratory procedures to support water quality laboratory functions; cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes glassware and equipment; prepares media and reagents; assists in the laboratory's quality assurance program; and performs related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate is an active college student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemistry or Environmental Sciences, with a minimum GPA of 2.0, able to work up to 25 hours weekly, and possessing a valid Nevada driver’s license and legal right to work in the US. The role requires passing a drug screen and background check and involves attendance during a schedule of up to 25 hours per week between Monday and Thursday, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The posting indicates a temporary, internship-level position at the River Mountains Water Treatment Facility in Henderson, NV.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a closely related field

- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Available to work up to 25 hours weekly
