Job Summary
Modify and maintain Laboratory Information System (LIS) software by creating new tests, modifying existing ones, and implementing system enhancements. Troubleshoot LIS issues, make security changes, and resolve access problems through Citrix while interacting with LIS/CRIS users and other CC departments. Assist with validation of mapping structures, reference laboratory interfaces, and CRIS upgrades by collecting requests, coordinating testing across environments, and ensuring interface integrity. Monitor communication problems and document corrective actions for test performance issues. Work day shift Monday through Friday with on-call rotations for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, including non-routine shifts for special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of four (4) years full-time specialized clinical laboratory experience working in a clinical hospital laboratory
- Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
- Minimum TWO (2) years full-time experience working with a clinical hospital laboratory information system at a Super User, Analyst, or Administrator level
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD 'public trust'
- Candidates must receive approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred fields of study: Biological Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related discipline
- Strong communications skills, written and spoken
- Experience/knowledge as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist
- SCC SOFT laboratory information system (LIS) experience
- Ability to lift 10 – 30 pounds
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred
