Laboratory Info System Specialist

Build new test modalities, implement system upgrades and interfaces, and troubleshoot both software and hardware while resolving system and instrument error messages. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hospital information systems and assist the Director in managing process improvement activities, troubleshooting, and decision-making. Educate and serve as a resource on LIS to internal laboratory departments and external departments. Requires an Associates Degree in Medical Technology or Biological Sciences, 1-3 years of experience with computerized medical laboratories, and Epic or other LIS system training. ASCP or AMT certification is required.
