Job Summary
Conduct CLIA high-complexity real-time PCR testing, collect and analyze patient specimens, and document results in the electronic medical record. Perform quality control, calibration, and equipment maintenance while ensuring compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and infection control standards. Manage laboratory inventory, troubleshoot testing discrepancies, and supervise day-to-day test performance for providers and lab techs. Maintain a safe, organized environment and collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient operations. Work approximately 30-40 hours per week in rotating 10-hour shifts across seven days, including weekends and holidays. Required Qualifications
- Medical laboratory certification
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science
- Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience
- molecular or PCR-based testing experience
- Proficiency in real-time PCR and molecular diagnostic techniques
- Knowledge of high-complexity laboratory testing standards and CLIA requirements
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices
- Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- 10-hour shifts
- scheduled across 7 days per week
- Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience
- Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR testing in a regulated laboratory environment
- Experience in urgent care, primary care, or high-volume clinical settings
