Job Summary
Coordinate the day-to-day operation of laboratory environments within Euro House, ensuring safety, compliance, and organization. Manage inductions, training records, and equipment registers while overseeing maintenance, calibration, and servicing activities to minimize disruption. Support laboratory audits, health & safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts by working closely with scientists, facilities, quality teams, and external suppliers. Provide hands-on assistance for research activities, including sample management, documentation, and routine experimental work where required. This fixed-term maternity cover role supports the R&D team developing advanced materials and technologies for next-generation sensing applications in Stirling.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a laboratory, research, scientific or technical environment
- Experience coordinating laboratory operations, processes or equipment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping ability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Good understanding of laboratory health & safety requirements
- Experience working within a regulated or quality-managed environment
- Scientific qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with electrochemical techniques and biosensor development
- Experience supporting audits, quality systems or ISO standards
- Experience maintaining equipment registers, calibration schedules or training records
- Experience supporting research and development activities
