Job Summary
The Laboratory Coordinator of Forensic Science will manage the forensic science labs and instrumentation, oversee curriculum development and lab preparation, mentor undergraduate majors and minors, coordinate program activities between departments, assist with hiring and student supervision, and ensure safety and compliance within a FEPAC-accredited program. The role includes coordinating with instructors, supporting classroom labs, handling administrative duties, preparing stock solutions, inventory management, and acting as liaison between departments while maintaining confidential records and meeting deadlines. Strong knowledge of forensic laboratory equipment, QA and safety standards, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively support both instructors and students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in forensic science or a related field
- Experience working in a forensic science laboratory or field work setting
