Job Summary
Laboratory Coordinator, Client Services oversees triage and problem-solving for routine laboratory operations, ensures measuring and monitoring metrics for accuracy, collaborates with leaders to develop quality monitors, serves as a technical resource for the team, and conducts training within CLIA standards. Responsibilities include performing processing of specimens for diagnostic and research purposes as applicable, may perform moderate complexity testing under CLIA-88, and developing/maintaining laboratory records while ensuring adherence to CLIA requirements and safety protocols. Requires ability to meet CLIA-88 guidelines, relevant laboratory experience, and familiarity with data entry and equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science preferred
- Ability to meet CLIA-88 guidelines to perform moderate complexity testing
- Knowledge of pre- and post-analytical phases of laboratory testing
- Ability to use the laboratory computer system for data entry
- Experience with laboratory testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures
- Ability to maintain quality control and other records
- Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations and protocols
- Ability to explain instructions in simple terminology
- Ability to organize and process a high volume of work within established standards
- Training team members within CLIA standards
